TiE is a nonprofit venture focused on supporting entrepreneurs from all industries and backgrounds through all stages of the startup lifecycle. The organization has a global reach and a local focus where organization’s leaders bring the values of the TiE community to their cities. 

TiE Austin is bringing the prestigious TiE Pitch Competition to Austin on November 7, 2019. The pitch competition aims to bring together top startups from Austin’s startup community. For this inaugural competition, TiE Austin is seeking startups that have participated in an Austin-based startup accelerator over the past three years. The goal is to support entrepreneurs and provide more opportunities to compete for additional runway they need to achieve their next milestone.

In this competition, startup finalists will compete for at least $20,000 in total equity-free cash prizes and potential investment up to $250K from the TiE Angel Network.

Care2Rock (Austin, TX) Care2Rock C2R is the easy, affordable way to learn music from anywhere; they provide instruments and live online lessons via award winning custom platform. Care2Rock offers intersecting music, technology, and social enterprise. Students take music lessons – live and online – through Web RTC browser to browser technology, which allows for ease of scaling and lesson recordings. First, instruments are send to beginner (wholesale)  to develop loyalty to monthly lesson subscription platform. Then, students meet their teachers – vetted by Care2Rock – live and online. Finally, teachers volunteer for youth in foster care for free on our platform, changing lives!
